AIDurian leads DNSC Faculty in Advanced Computer Vision Training
On August 8, 2024, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) held a specialized training session titled “COMPUTER VISION TRAINING FOR FACULTY” at the GAD Conference Room. The event, focused on Computer Vision for Intelligent Systems, featured Jenno Fred M. Villarino and Marlon V. Maddara from the Department of Math, Physics, and Computer Science (DMPCS) of the University of the Philippines (UP) Mindanao, specifically the AIDurian project, as the resource speakers.
AIDurian attends Durian Industry Stakeholders Technical Forum
On May 23, 2024, the City Government of Davao, through the City Agriculturist’s Office, held the Durian Industry Stakeholders Technical Forum at the Grand Men Seng Hotel in Davao City. The event gathered more than a hundred people, most of whom were local durian farmers from various parts of the Davao region.
AIDurian Showcases Technologies at UP Mindanao’s 29th Founding Anniversary
As part of the 29th Founding Anniversary celebrations of the University of the Philippines Mindanao, AIDurian participated in the UPMin KALIMUHAGAN Knowledge Fair 2024, held at the CARIM complex. The exhibit, in which AIDurian participated, took place on May 7, 2024.

AIDurian attends 1st PH Asia Durian Summit
The inaugural Philippine Asia Durian Summit commenced at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang on Wednesday. Organized by the Durian Industry Association of Davao City (DIADC), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and the City Agriculturist Office, among others, the three-day summit (October 25-27) has drawn over 700 durian growers, processors, consolidators, and investors.

The AIDurian team has conducted a series of field visits at industry partner farms. These activities are pivotal for the development of the AI-based Non-Invasive Grading System for Durian.
