On May 23, 2024, the City Government of Davao, through the City Agriculturist’s Office, held the Durian Industry Stakeholders Technical Forum at the Grand Men Seng Hotel in Davao City. The event gathered more than a hundred people, most of whom were local durian farmers from various parts of the Davao region.
The forum was also attended by AIDurian’s industry partners, such as Belviz Farms, D’Farmers Market, and VJT Enterprises. Other attendees included stakeholders in the durian value chain, such as researchers, processors, academics, exporters, and representatives from the government and private sector.
The event aimed to foster in-depth discussions and promote collaboration to tackle challenges and seize opportunities within the durian industry. Among the resource speakers was a representative from AIDurian, who discussed current updates on their ongoing project, highlighting technologies that will soon be integrated into the industry.
